Officials from Uzbekistan said the first phase of the open market zone complex on the border in between Afghanistan and its northern neighbor has been completed and stores are now being distributed to traders from both countries.According to the authorities, the last stage of the complex will be finished by next year.&& This plan was developed to expand organization relations and develop jobs for Afghans and individuals of Uzbekistan.

In this market, along with Uzbek traders, Afghan traders and entrepreneurs can likewise start their work and activities.

We are committed to completing the staying parts of this market quickly,& & said the deputy head of the Afghan-Uzbek trade zone.He stated once complete, the complex will have 4,000 shops, university hospital, guesthouses and dining establishments where citizens of both countries can buy 10 days without a visa.&& More than 4 thousand stores, health centers, dining establishments and guesthouses will be built in this market.

Afghan citizens can go shopping in this market for ten days without requiring a visa.&& Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment officials and traders state that the facility of this market can supply a platform to display the nation&& s domestic items and broaden the economic activities of traders.&& As a nation on the edge of economic growth, the demand of Afghans is to produce centers and charge less rent so that they can improve benefits in the beginning,& & stated Asadullah Asadi, head of Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment.&& If the common market is triggered and our traders and business owners open stores there and our handicrafts and national products go there, it will be a very good market for us,& & said Haji Qalandar, an Afghan trader.In August in 2015, Balkh provincial authorities said plans were underway to establish the trade zone &-- which would be situated along the border location of Balkh province and Surkhandarya province of Uzbekistan.Officials stated 120 acres of land would be made use of and the expense would be $75 million.The post First phase of Afghan-Uzbek free trade zone finished initially appeared on Ariana News.
