An 11-year old boy, captured on CCTV tearing a page of Guru Granth Sahib at a gurdwara in a village of Batala in Punjab, was detained and later granted bail by the local juvenile justice board.Sukhwinder Singh, granthi of the gurdwara, told police that the boy committed the sacrilege at 8.30 am on Monday by tearing the 1,029th "ang".Sukhwinder Singh, SHO of Rangar Nangal police station, said they registered an FIR under Section 295A (insulting religion or religious beliefs) of the IPC against the boy on a complaint filed by the granthi.The boy tore the "ang" and kept it in the saroop of Guru Granth Sahib.
