2023-01-15T18:29:14.000000 Z / Iraqs parliament speaker Mohammad al-Halboosi on Sunday terminated the membership of lawmaker Laith al-Dulaimi, and the latter advised his coworkers to withstand dictatorship in the assembly.An authorities correspondence supposedly marked by al-Halboosis seal stated that al-Dulaimi was to be removed from legislature per a resignation letter he submitted previously.

The choice, according to the document, was taken in accordance with Article 12/2nd of the Councils by-laws.

The previous member of the Takaddom party, led by al-Halboosi himself, knocked his elimination as prohibited and despotic .

Al-Dulaimi stated in a declaration that he was amazed by the decision and expects his associates in al-Siyada Coalition, a merger of the Sunni leading blocs (Takaddom and Azm), and other blocs in the Iraqi parliament to take a deterrent stance versus dictatorship , unilateralism , and abuse of authority .

On April 22, 2022, al-Halboosi eliminated al-Dulaimi from the celebration for his non-adherence to the celebrations directions and violations of the policies of the celebrations internal code.
