NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading in the red in Thursday's morning session. Shares of Bosch (down 3.33 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (down 1.29 per cent), TVS Motor Company (down 1.09 per cent) and Tata Motors (down 0.93 per cent) were the top losers in the index. Ashok Leyland (down 0.85 per cent), Bharat Forge (down 0.74 per cent), Eicher Motors (down 0.53 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp (down 0.46 per cent) too were trading lower.

The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.36 per cent down at 8229.50 around 09:44 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 48.15 points at 12,014.20 while the BSE Sensex was up 184.10 points at 40,653.88. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea YES Bank, NBCC, SBI, L-T Fin Holding, DLF, Bank of Baroda, Tata Steel and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
