HARIDWAR: A day after the Supreme Court cautioned yoga guru Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved against making “false” and “misleading” claims to cure diseases in advertisements for its products and threatened to impose costs to the extent of Rs 1 crore on every product regarding which such claims were made, Ramdev alleged that a propaganda campaign was being run against his company. In a press statement, the yoga guru said, “We humbly respect the SC and if we make false advertisements or propaganda, we would not have any objections if the honourable court imposes a fine of crores or even gives us a death sentence.
There is a false propaganda being launched against Patanjali Ayurved by the synthetic medicine world that believes that there is no cure for diseases including BP, diabetes, thyroid, asthma, arthritis, obesity and liver and kidney failure.”He added, “As Patanjali claims to have developed ayurvedic medicines for these diseases, the drug mafia are attacking ayurveda and Patanjali.
We have been fighting against such forces for decades and will continue to fight till our last breath.
We are confident that we will win the battle as truth alone prevails.”
