TEHRAN - Irans womens futsal group beat Tajikistan 16-0 in the 2023 CAFA Womens Futsal Championship on Saturday.Sara Shirbeigi (6 goals), Fereshteh Karimi (3 goals), Maral Torkman (2 goals), Mahsa Kamali, Nastaran Moghimi, Elham Anafcheh, Nazanin Estekifar and Ziba Afragh were on target for Iran.Iran had started the four-team campaign on Friday with a 5-0 win over Kyrgyzstan.Iran are set up to deal with Uzbekistan on Monday.The round-robin tournament is being kept in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from Jan.

The Championship is the 2nd edition of the CAFA Womens Futsal Championship, the annual worldwide futsal champion organized by CAFA for the femaless national futsal groups of Central Asia.Iran are the protecting champs, having actually won the 2022 inaugural edition.
