Hyderabad: At least seven Covid-19 patients at the King Koti Hospital, a dedicated Covid center of the state government, were feared to have lost their lives from absence of sufficient oxygen supply on Sunday.The oxygen tank at the hospital started revealing low pressure starting 3 pm on Sunday.
An oxygen tanker truck that was to arrive by then to fill up the healthcare facility tank was delayed as the chauffeur reportedly lost his way near Jadcherla.
As panic spread over the non-arrival of the tanker, the Narayanguda police got into the act, traced the truck and guided the motorist to the medical facility.
By then, the drop in the pressure in the oxygen lines at the health center resulted in seven patients losing their lives.

Bhupati stated the tanker reached the healthcare facility around 3.30 pm.According to some healthcare facility personnel, four Covid-19 clients passed away in the ICU A ward, two in ICU B, while the seventh patient who remained in the male seclusion ward also yielded as the pressure in the oxygen line dropped.
The dead included four patients who were aged between 35 and 45 years, it was found out.
A police officer on duty at the health center likewise said that seven people were thought to have actually lost their lives on account of poor oxygen supply.
The moms and dads of one such departed patient, who managed to obtain an oxygen cylinder, frantically urged the health center personnel to use the cylinder to supply oxygen to the patient, regardless of the medical facility personnel saying the individual had passed away.Attendants of a number of clients rushed to get oxygen cylinders in autorickshaws and on 2 wheelers to save the lives of their enjoyed ones being dealt with at the hospital.
