BENGALURU: A 28-year-old woman and her two-and-a-half-year-old son were eliminated, while her hubby and child sustained injuries, when an under-construction Metro pillar in Bengaluru came crashing down on them on Tuesday.The bike-borne household was travelling through the stretch on Outer Ring Road around 10am when the support cage made of iron rods for the construction of an 18-metre-tall pillar of Namma Metros Blue Line passage collapsed on them.Tejaswini Sulakhe and her son Vihan suffered grievous injuries and were hurried to a health center, where both succumbed.
Her partner Lohith V Sulakhe and daughter Vismitha got away with small injuries.Lohith works as a civil engineer while Tejaswini was a software application engineer with a personal company.
According to authorities, Lohith was driving together with his spouse and kids to Manyata Tech Park, where the twins had actually recently joined a pre-school.
