TEHRAN - Hassan Ghafourifard, former president of Iran’s Physical Education Organization (PEO), passed away on Thursday.

He died at the age of 79 after a lengthy illness in Tehran.

Ghafourifard head Iran’s Physical Education Organization from 1989 to 1994.

As a politician, he represented Tehran, Rey, Shemiranat and Eslamshahr twice in the Parliament

TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian on Wednesday inspected the Turkish city of Adiyaman that suffered great damages from a massive earthquake that hit southeastern Turkey on February 6.

TEHRAN - Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud has said that his country is “open” for talks with Iran.

"We are open to dialogue with Iran," Farhan said on Wednesday.

So far Iran and Saudi Arabia has held five rounds of talks with the mediation of Iraq.
