TEHRAN-- Iran global forward Sardar Azmoun said that he is not going to leave Bayer Leverkusen, refuting some speculations linking him to a move to Turkish clubs. Its no secret that Sardar Azmoun hasnt lived up to expectations in Leverkusen up until now.
Both the club and the player had actually expected a lot more when Bayer signed the Iranian international from Zenit Saint Petersburg in early 2022 for EUR2.5 million.
The record after a year in Germany is really poor with just one Bundesliga objective after 18 appearances. The 28-year forward has been connected with Turkish clubs Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
I do not know where the reports are coming from, Azmoun said.
I have an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen and I wish to succeed with the team and be an useful gamer for my team.
