The Department of Meteorology forecasts that heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in Southern Province and Moneragala District tomorrow (26).Thus, the general public are requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.The Met.
Department, in its latest forecast states that several spells of showers will occur in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa district tomorrow.Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Central provinces during the afternoon or night, it added.Additionally, misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts during the morning, according to the Met.
Department.Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and North-Western provinces during this afternoon or night.
