NEW DELHI: The S-P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Tuesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Hindustan Aeronautics (up​ 3.4 per cent)​, AIA Engineering (up​ 1.86 per cent)​, V-Guard Industries (up​ 1.84 per cent)​, Havells India (up​ 1.75 per cent)​, ABB India Ltd (up​ 1.71 per cent)​, Siemens (up​ 1.6 per cent)​, Bharat Electronics (up​ 1.1 per cent)​, NBCC (India) (up​ 0.73 per cent)​, Kalpataru Power Transmission (up​ 0.47 per cent)​, Bharat Heavy Electricals (up​ 0.44 per cent)​, Honeywell Automation India (up​ 0.35 per cent)​ and Grindwel Norton (up​ 0.19 per cent)​ were among the top gainers.

While Sadbhav Engineering (down​ 1.76 per cent)​, SKF India (down​ 1.67 per cent)​, Finolex Cables (down​ 1.57 per cent)​, Solar Industries India (down​ 1.27 per cent)​, Larsen - Toubro (down​ 1.02 per cent)​, Graphite India (down​ 0.88 per cent)​, Thermax (down​ 0.57 per cent)​, Schaeffler India (down​ 0.29 per cent)​, Carborundum Universal (down​ 0.28 per cent)​, HEG (down​ 0.21 per cent)​, Elgi Equipments (down​ 0.14 per cent)​ and Lakshmi Machine Works (down​ 0.03 per cent)​ were the top losers in the index.

The S-P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.31 per cent down at 16324.09 around 11:03 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 0.10 points at 11829.5 , while the BSE Sensex was up 28.02 points at 40391.25 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, NALCO, GMR Infra, SBI, SAIL, BHEL and Infibeam Avenues Ltd.

were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
