NEW DELHI: The S-P BSE Capital Goods index was up in Tuesday's afternoon session. Shares of Sadbhav Engineering (up 6.36 per cent), Thermax (up 3.52 per cent), Bharat Electronics (up 1.75 per cent) and Havells India (up 1.65 per cent) were trading in the green. Kalpataru Power Transmissions (up 1.11 per cent), Siemens (up 0.96 per cent), Grindwell Norton (up 0.94 per cent) and Elgi Equipments (up 0.80 per cent) too were trading higher.

The S-P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.54 per cent up at 18,479.37 around 11:56 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 47.95 points at 11,636.30 while the BSE Sensex was up 159.87 points at 39,056.58.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Spicejet, Dish TV India, Federal Bank, Tata Motors, Vodafone Idea, Ashok Leyland, Adani Power and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
