NEW DELHI: Media shares were trading with losses in Tuesday's afternoon session. Shares of Eros International Media (down 4.85 per cent), Den Networks (down 3.02 per cent), Zee Media Corporation (down 2.46 per cent) and Jagran Prakashan (down 1.53 per cent) were the top losers in the index. Navneet Education (down 1.46 per cent), Hathway Cable - Datacom (down 1.09 per cent), TV18 Broadcast (down 1.06 per cent) and Network 18 Media - Investments (down 0.99 per cent) too were trading lower.

The Nifty Media index was trading 0.24 per cent down at 2051.45 around 12:10 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 46.15 points at 11,634.50 while the BSE Sensex was up 147.89 points at 39,044.60.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Dish TV India, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Vodafone Idea, Bank of Baroda, Federal Bank, Indiabulls Housing Finance, SAIL and Adani Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
